Retreat Recap

Thank you for attending the Tis the Season to Be Mindful Retreat last Saturday.

First of all, thank you for tolerating my less than ideal delivery due to my ongoing bronchitis.  It was a pleasure to meet you and serve you.

If you weren't able to attend the retreat, here is the visualization we did together, and one we didn't. These were meant to help you discover stories in your life that need your attention now.

This is another maybe simpler meditation to help you connect with important life stories and memories.

After the Retreat Mindfulness

Our session last Saturday was a small taste of what it means to honor your life story.

It may be all that our time together that afternoon was all you needed this season to celebrate your year and close out any unfinished business with your life story.

Depending on what’s happening in your life, you might want to take the time to follow my suggestion and create a mini-memoir that shows the highlights of your life.

Once you have done this work, you won’t have to visualize what has shaped your life again. You will have a better sense of your value as a person.

If you’re interested in going deeper with what we discussed at the retreat, answer the questions below. These are normally part of the pre-work for the Winter Retreat, and I am sharing them with you as a thank you for your time this last weekend.

Our attention is the greatest gift we can offer anyone, and I thank you for yours.

If you want to go even deeper with creating a mini-memoir, you might want to join me at my last seasonal retreat of this year on the Winter solstice.  In that retreat, we will be using a template to create a 20-page Celebration of Your Life that can be used in many different ways.

You can learn more about my upcoming Winter retreat at https://www.karenpowerswan.com/seasonal-retreats.

Here is a Mindful holiday checklist to help you choose how you might be more restorative this upcoming season.

Finally,  you can find some more meditations and music to make your holiday more mindful below.

I hope all of these materials can increase your ability to have a meaningful and joyous end of 2019!

Mindful Holiday Collection

This collection of guided meditations and music provides the kind of soul nourishment that we all need, especially as we move through the holidays.

This includes three powerful guided meditations.

  1. Honoring Your Life Story

  2. Preparing for the Next Chapter of Your Life

  3. Gratitude for the Good

We practiced a honor your life story visualization this last weekend, and looked briefly at my guide

to Mindful Holiday living.  If you support my work by purchasing this collection, it is included, with tips and exercises that you can use to create two additional mindfulness retreats for yourself during this sometimes stressful time of year.

Again, if you would like to experience a live retreat with the Gratitude for the Good meditation and more consider joining my virtual Winter retreat on December 21, 2019.
